Trustees of Trust Funds Meeting Minutes
Meeting date: January 15, 2015 @ 4:30 p.m.
Attendees: Ken Paulsen, Vicki Norris, Linda Nickerson and Catherine Shaw
Catherine was in attendance to be the notary for the signatures needed for the bank to allow Linda to be a signer on the Trustee of Trust accounts for the Town of Greenfield. Thank you Catherine.
While Catherine was with us we answered her questions regarding why the Cemetery checking account had been eliminated from the MS9 reporting for 2014. We advised that we weren’t in receipt of the statements as they go directly to Gil Bliss’s home address rather than to the Town. She will get together with the Treasurer to see why the change. We advised that the interest from the cemetery trusts no longer is put into the checking account, it remains with the CD’s which is a change from 2013.
Being new to the positions as Trustee of Trusts we found that we were to move funds prior to year end in order for it to reflect in the towns books properly. An adjustment will need to be done for 2015 to reflect the amounts taken out after the close of books in 2014. Ken will follow up on whether or not to disburse now in 2015 for 2014 amounts.
Review was made on the number of investors and who they will be for a larger knowledge of what they can provide for the town in ways of increasing the interest earnings on a go forward.
Next week is the time to sign up for names to be put on the ballot for positions within the Trustee of Trusts, all three will be requesting our names for this voting period.
